Stopping for the rain and finding inspiration to paint
The Bell Tower of the Church of Parrocchia during the #italiagrandsketchingtour.
Traveling by motorcycle is particular because sometimes you lose you ability of choice and it is, for example, the weather that chooses for you. And once you learn to follow the uncertainty and appreciate what happens even if not planned, you can find some treasures.
Today is an example. I was going to Rovereto and passing in a small town along the way I stopped for a coffee and rain started pouring down. It was the small town of Parrocchia!
While waiting, I noticed this beautiful church dedicated of Saint Vigilio and I decided to capture its bell tower that stands out in the shadow of the Dolomites mountains. The church dates back to the thirteenth century and inside it also houses truly appreciable works of art. As mentioned, a treasure within the clouds.
