Palermo Cathedral

A series of illustrations that I painted on location during the motorbike tour to discover the wonderful Italian architectural heritage. This illustration will bring into your home the beauty of Italy, making it unique.

The view of the Cathedral of Palermo portrays a set of spiers, arches and domes of the wonderful Arab-Norman cathedral that rises in the heart of the city. Dedicated to the Holy Virgin Mary of the Assumption, the cathedral was built in 1184. The access to the cathedral takes place from a garden that offers a moment of serenity to the visitors, and it is from this garden that I made this watercolor, during a moment of sunshine after a week of rain.

The stories and paintings of my journey are collected in the book “Italia Grand Sketching Tour“, in which I tell you all the wonderful things I have seen. The first volume was released in 2021 and it is available in Italian and English, and the second volume will soon be out too.

Materials and other information

The paining is created withprofessional artist grade watercolors on 300 gr watercolor paper. The painting is perfect for a living room or a bedroom, it comes unmounted and unframed. The quality of the materials ensure longevity, but artwork is best hung out of direct sunlight. The artwork is signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Colors may vary slightly based on your monitor, though each picture is as accurate as possible. The photos are indications of how the work can be displayed, the dimensions in the photos are only indications, the real size is the one in the characteristics.

Orders are processed and shipped within 3-5 working days of receipt of payment, by courier. Shipping times vary between 72 hours and one week depending on the area (times can be extended outside of Europe). More information on tracking is sent by email following shipment. Orders are shipped to the address indicated in the payment form, but they can also be shipped to other addresses if requested by email. Return policies: both the original and the prints fall within the return policies indicated in Terms and Conditions. In case of return, the shipping is at the expense of the buyer. The refund is made upon receipt of the package.
