The Venetian Renaissance style incorporated into one building
Palazzo del Bene in Rovereto Center during the #italiagrandsketchingtour.
While walking in Rovereto I stopped for coffee and found this wonderful square in the historical center. I was so astonished by its beauty and wanted to capture it. But in this case it was very complicated because it is one of those buildings in which all the richness of the decorations and the games of plans make it marvellous, and capturing it becomes very challenging. I decided to try and I’m happy of the result because I think the colors really express for me the joyfulness of this palace.Â
This is Palazzo del Bene, a private residence built in the 15th Century. The building rich in decorations respects the Venetian Renaissance style. The mural paintings on its outer walls depict the time of the seasons with floral motifs and the staircase leading to the upper floors is monumental and representative.Â
The building had a long history as private residence, post office and nowadays it is the headquarters of the bank that has created also a space for cultural events in the complex.Â
