Colorful housed and bell tower in Verona historical center
Painting a view on the side streets of Verona during the #italiagrandsketchingtour.
For me Sketching is about walking, sometime randomly, around a place and enjoying the view, and connecting to the places. Sketching is always available because it means capturing the atmosphere, without judgement, at the level I am in at the time and practicing acceptance of whatever I can do in that sketch. You learn to live the moment and accept that not every day is the same
This is a view of Via Santa Maria in Chiavica in Verona captured in the essence I was experiencing in that moment, walking around and feeling playful and happy. Colors and impressions mixed together, connected by the breath used to guide the painting.
Do you like it?
I find it refreshing after days of trying to capture the reality in a more precise way. Sometimes I just need to let go and play and let my hands take over and go crazy.
I feel relaxed and joyful now. I hope you feel this through my sketch.
